Raiffeisen Mobile Investing is an investment app by Raiffeisen that lets you easily invest in mutual funds, stocks, bonds, etfs, and crypto — with built-in robo-advisory to guide your journey.

The challenge

The absence of an investment app that is competitive and addresses the needs of clients using the Raiffeisen daily banking app.

Designing an app that meets the needs of a wide range of users and provides them with a clear and simple solution.

A process with customers in mind

Rapid development

It took us only 3 months to go from the initial idea to a working MVP.

Iterative approach

We continuously develop the product, add new features, and adapt it based on customer needs.

User testing

We regularly test with real users to gather feedback and improve.

Investment personas

Through extensive research, we identified five key archetypal personas representing distinct user groups with similar needs in the investment market.

These personas guided our design decisions, ensuring we addressed real user motivations, goals, and pain points throughout the process.

The app consists of four main sections and includes over 950 screens in total.

To UDS components

The first screens were created in 2022 using version 0.8
of the UDS library.

UDS enabled

By using UDS components, we were able to quickly
create functional screens that were usable, accessible 
and efficient.

Easy switching between Light and Dark modes, RBI and Tatra themes, and various library versions is supported.

This approach simplified decision-making and allowed us to rapidly iterate on specific problems, comparing different solutions to find the best fit.

Fully accessible

Thanks to the UDS library, is the app fully accessible.

Accessibility is ensured at the component level, including touch area, proper color contrast, font sizes, alternative text, reading order, focus grouping
and more.

Smart portfolio overview

The Home section offers a clear portfolio overview, showing invested and earned funds in a chart, along with available funds, gains/losses, transactions, active orders, and regular investments.

Users can quickly switch between portfolios or access the profile section.

Discover the best products

The Discover section enables multi-level filtering and powerful search to help users find exactly what they’re looking for. It also supports browsing through curated categories such as Top Movers, Top Losers, Most Popular Products, or Investment Themes.

Products can also be explored by type for a more structured overview.

Clear product breakdown

The Product Detail view provides key information across several sections.

The Overview tab shows price dynamics, match with user preferences, and insights into pending orders, dividends, and holdings.

The Financials section offers company data for better understanding. ‍‍

‍Allocation shows how ETFs are structured.

And the Transactions tab displays personal activity related to the product.
